Q: Tell us a little about yourself. I am currently a sophomore and this is my second year on varsity. I play basketball and soccer, but basketball is definitely my favorite sport. I fell in love with basketball after watching my brother’s team travel around the state for summer ball. I have two older siblings, my sister Melissa, and my brother Josh.
Q: What is your best basketball memory? I have four favorite memories: beating Northwest in the Big Shot Tournament in sixth grade, winning the 2009 D-2 AAU State Championship with my Jackson Jets team, making the buzzer beater during my first varsity game against Columbia Central, and being the 2010 Knights of Columbus State Free Throw champion.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat? Jimmy Johns
Q: What are some hobbies that you have other than playing basketball? Soccer, swimming tubing, and scrap booking.
Q: How would you best describe yourself? I am a hardworking athlete on and off the court and always try to be a good teammate and leader.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the court? Watching College Basketball as well as relaxing at the lake and spending time with my family.
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been through? Adjusting to my eye injury and wearing goggles for sports.
Q: What would you say not many people know about you? In sixth grade I was hit in the left eye by a pine cone from a lawnmower, which resulted in permanent vision damage. I couldn’t do any physical activity for six weeks – longest six weeks of my life! I made a hooked rug to pass the time; the rug had a sports theme of course. I must wear glasses and Rec Specs to protect my other eye.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? Don’t be intimidated. Always give it your all and most of all, BELIEVE!

Q: Tell us a little about yourself
Well I am a senior currently in basketball. I also play golf and softball. I have been playing basketball since I was probably four years old and it is by far my favorite sport.
Q: What is your best basketball memory?
My best basketball memory would probably have to be all of the years that I played swish. Playing with all of my friends was a lot of fun.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat?
Mongolian Barbecue
Q: What are some hobbies that you have other then playing basketball?
Well I enjoy playing golf and softball. I love watching movies, listening to music, going up north and hanging out with friends.
Q: How would you best describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a determined athlete who has come a long way and is still working on being a better player, teammate and leader.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the court?
My favorite thing to do off the court is pretty much anything with my friends.
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been through?
My biggest challenge on the court would be letting my bad temper get the best of me but I have improved a lot in that over the years.
Q: What would you say not many people know about you?
Not many people know that I love to bake.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be?
The advice I would give to younger players is to enjoy it while you can. High school flies by and you do not want to ever have any regrets. Play every game like it is your last. Believe in yourself and your teammates and most importantly have fun.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself. I’m 17, I have an older brother,
and I’m going to CMU next year.
Q: What is your best basketball memory? Winning a game that went into
double overtime in 5th grade, and I hit the shot.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat? P.F. Chang’s
Q: What are some hobbies that you have other then playing
basketball? I play guitar(acoustic, electric, and bass)
Q: How would you best describe yourself? I’m
hardworking, friendly, and always open to new things and new people.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the court? Spend time with friends and family.
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been through? Surviving trig/pre-cal last year.
Q: What would you say not many people know about you? I
love listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? Never think your to good to practice- you will always have room for improvement.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself. My favorite color is purple, my
favorite food is Ramon Noodles, my favorite pop is Dr. Pepper, my favorite
subject is gym and I enjoy long walks on the beach.
Q: What is your best basketball memory? My basketball experience has been memorable
since the fourth grade.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat? Mongolian barbeque
Q: What are some hobbies that you have other then playing
basketball? Watch CSI Miami, softball, listening to music, being with friends and family,
sleeping, and guitar hero.
Q: How would you best describe yourself? Friendly,
happy, & caring.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the court? Hang
out with friends & spending time with family.
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been
through? Maintaining a GPA of 3.9
Q: What would you say not many people know about you? I
have a really bad voice, but I love to sing loudly, so I turn the music up in
my car extremely loud so I can’t hear myself.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? In order to be successful you need to have passion for the game. A solid work ethic & believe in yourself.

Kelcie Wilson (Sr.)
Q: Tell us a
little about yourself I am a senior. My favorite color is pink. I have gone to a
catholic school for all 12 years. I’m a Michigan fan, but plan on going to
Michigan State.
Q: What is
your best basketball memory? Is
when we played at the king center in the 6th grade and coach Wilson got
locked up in a dark room, after he received a technical, because a girl tried
to punch me.
Q: Where is
your favorite place to eat? Sharkey’s on the pier- Venice, Florida
Q: What are
some hobbies that you have other then playing basketball? Hanging out with friends,
shopping, sun bathing and any other sports.
Q: How would
you best describe yourself? Outgoing and strong willed. I’ll talk to
anyone about anything and won’t let anyone tell me I won’t be able to do
something without proving them wrong.
Q: What is
your favorite thing to do off the court? Spend quality time with family & my
friends.
Q: What has
been the biggest challenge you have been through? Fighting through life with
Diabetes. There’s good times and bad times for everyone, we just have to stay
strong.
Q: What
would you say not many people know about you? I am a junior ambassador for the Juvenile
Diabetes research Foundation.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? NEVER GIVE UP!! Stay head strong, work hard & have fun while doing it.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself. I was born in Lansing. I am the oldest of 5 kids. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, ranging in ages between 15 and 2 ½, I also have a dog named Carly.
Q: What is your best basketball memory? It was the summer before my freshman year started, the basketball program was in Midland. I went up for a rebound when a girl’s elbow hit me in the eye. Mr. Bullock still teases me that he is too blamed.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat? Klavons and Bone Island
Q: What are some hobbies that you have other then playing basketball? Reading, running hurdles, listening to music and my job.
Q: How would you best describe yourself? I am normally very shy. I try to be encouraging and try to brighten someone’s day when they are down.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the court? Hang out with my friends or my mom.
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been through? In kindergarten, I had to wear an eye patch over my left eye in order to make my right one stronger (I was made fun of a lot). Now I only wear a contact in my right eye.
Q: What would you say not many people know about you? I broke my elbow falling off a swing. My mom use to argue that it looked like I jumped off of it.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? Do your best to help other players play their best; you end up making yourself better in the process. Push others to their limit by pushing yourself to yours.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself. 17 years old, I drive a mini van, and I spell my name with a Y, instead of IE. I’m a senior and I want to plat basketball at JCC.
Q: What is your best basketball memory? When Mr. Wilson called my house and asked if I wanted to play on the Hot Shots during 6th grade.

Q: What has been the biggest challenge you have been through? Getting cut from what use to be my favorite (volleyball) sport freshmen year.
Q: What would you say not many people know about you? I have a pet cat named Smash and we shave
him like a lion.
Q: If you could give a piece of advice to young players, what would it be? Always play your hardest, never give up, be determined, and compassionate in everything that you do.
